Nobody heard him sigh over the orchestra of crickets. As the tropical heat loosened its grip, he poured himself another, watching the liqueur catch the fleeting golden light of days gone. He vaguely sketched her it in his journal, hoping to dilute the memories of that one unattainable treasure. Her Its features haunted his dreams. It’ll never be a museum piece to marvel at, but neither will it be his, truly. He’ll be charting new horizons tomorrow, his curiosity satiated by another dangerous ordeal. And it she? She’ll remain adorned in his mind’s tomb forever.

Packed with sensory nostalgia, “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” is a truly cinematic globetrotter’s adventure. I was served a flavourful punch bowl of cultures, escapism and ghosts of one’s past, but then… A quest popped up in my shabby cocktail notebook. You must unearth a recipe to bind Indy’s wit and his lust for intercontinental escapades, it said. Naturally, I started putting the puzzle together:
Bittersweet Jones. In celebration or despair, Indiana sometimes takes to a whisky neat (as spotted in his movies). I chose rye for its spicier notes, so that Indy’s existential grit could punch through the tropical flavours. After all, breaking pots and hearts can leave a bitter aftertaste.
Stamp that passport. Jones is zoomin’ all over the globe in this game, but to stay sane I’ve featured only two levels. Campari was a nod to the Vatican location, where many Italian amari bottles were smashed over nazi numbskulls. Bonus: An extra bitter note! Then I found some aged rum from Thailand to represent the ancient Sukhothai location. Bonus: Says it’s produced in a “secret distillery”, which is sus but mysterious, so that’s on-brand. The palette of faraway lands was topped with lemon, orgeat and aztec bitters.

Now then! Some words of wisdom before we embark:
Marcus: You can’t just run away from your problems, Indiana.
[Indiana puts the hat on and flashes him a smirk.]
Indiana: Watch me.
